• Auto Collision Repair & Refinishing

    Considered one of the fastest growing fields in the country, Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing is a wide-ranging field that can involve anything from completing basic repairs to creating works of art.  A state-of-the-art facility includes a "Chief" frame alignment machine with a computer laser measuring system, plasma cutter, oxyacetylene and MIG welders, eight working stalls and down-draft spray booth with paint baking capabilities.  Instructional objectives include fundamental skills in all areas of the field.  The program also provides the opportunity for I-Car Certification.

    Additional Information

    The Auto Collision program is affiliated with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, which offers two nationally-recognized certifications: S/P2 a safety certification students can earn through testing and I-Car certification obtained after graduation in areas such as body repair, frame repair and painting.  Articulation agreements exist with several colleges for students to receive credit for coursework completed while at Shawsheen.
